Runner

Slings are a loop of webbing. Common lengths include 6, 12, 24, 36 and 48 inches. Slings can be made by tying webbing in a loop using a Water Knot. Slings that are permanently sewn together are also available (as opposed to a water knot). Permanently sewn slings are often called Runners.

Extendable Runner
Extendable runners are created by connecting a biner at either end of a shoulder length sling. Pass one of the biners through the other and clip the same biner through both slings. Extendable runners are extended by unclipping either biner from two of the three slings and pulling.
