I founded Spadout.com in 2004. I have lived in Colorado (Estes Park), England (London), Germany (Hamburg), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) and Texas (San Antonio). I have climbed extensively across North America including Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, Nevada, Nuevo Leon, Oklahoma, Utah, Texas, West Virginia and Wyoming. I have slept under the stars for over 1000 nights and have climbed dozens of 1000+ foot routes. I ran my first marathon in 2005 and hope to run another soon.

My wife Heidi and I currently live in San Antonio, TX. We reguarly climb / boulder at Enchanted Rock, Austin and El Potrero Chico. I have been climbing for 6 years and backpacking for 12 years.
