This is a book published by the NSS (National Speleological Society) and it covers pretty much every facet of working with rope in a vertical or high angle environment. Its often refered to as the "Caver's Bible."

Rock Climbing: Mastering Basic Skills - Craig Luebben

A nice detailed book with a lot of good info, primarily aimed at instructing beginning and intermediate climbers.
