Cat's Paw

A Cat's Paw is a modified Girth Hitch. It's able to deal with different forces on either of the lines coming from the knot a little bit better then the Girth Hitch can. It's tied in a very similar manner to the Girth Hitch as well:

Take a length of rope (red) and loop it around the main line (black)

Take the length of rope and pull it through the loop created by the red rope, so the red rope is going back around itself.

Pull the loose ends to tighten.
