| Continental Ultra Gator Skin 4.3 out of 5 based on 2 user reviews.
Cred: 315 | | I chose Ultra Gatorskin for widely advertised puncture resistance before my ultra long 1200km ride. After 1000+ miles over Sierra Nevadas, CA Central Valley, high desert I had no flats, tires have no cuts, front tire shows minimal wear. If properly rotated (front to back and so on), I expect them to last for 5K miles.
Durable, puncture resistant, good grip, soft ride on 25c |
| I found riding quality especially cornering at high speeds were not as good as Continental GP 4000.
Expensive, paid $44 at REI. |

Cred: 1700 | | I've been riding these for about 2.5 months now on a fixed gear commuting 4-5x per week. I have had NO flats (punctures, pinches, etc.). These are awesome tires and would definitely buy these again. Foldable bead is nice, Gatorskin sidewall aids with puncture prevention, and I can run these at higher tire pressures (100+ psi). |
| I really like Vittoria Diamantes but they're pretty expensive. The Contis are a great medium between price AND function. |
