Picking a WakeboardWhen getting a wakeboard consider your weight, ability and personal preference. Each company will have a sizing chart for their boards. These work well to get you in the correct size range. If your prefer mellow and relaxed riding, you may want to get a little bit longer of a board, as it will have a less responsive but more of a relaxed ride. If you like doing big spins, a shorter board will allow you to move through the air faster.
The materials that make up your board determine it's weight. If you pick a lighter board you will be able to get higher in the air on your tricks. The only downside to this is lighter boards will usually come with a higher price tag, because of the high tech materials used in their construction. The more you ride, the more you will understand how you want your board to react, and what board you need.
