2009-11-06 | SRAM 500 TT Brake Levers by facebookuser Good: For the price, you can't beat it. It may not be the carbon big brother, but I love the fact that works just as well, and it matches the rest of the components on my bike. Bad: Unfortunately my bars are not internal compatible. I had to rig up my bar for these to work.

2009-11-06 | SRAM Force Rear Derailleur by facebookuser Good: This product is a great upgrade for anyone looking to build a great rode bike cheap. Just put this on a new TT bike and the shifting is extremely smooth. Bad: Nothing I can say to deminish this great product.

2009-08-12 | Continental Grand Prix 4000 by senisbs Good: The best tires I've ever used (23c and 25c). Low (not as low as Vitorria Rubino), wide profile (barely goes through my Ultegra brakes. Ride quality is amazing, cornering is the best, they just glued to the road. The first ones I bought had chili compound whatever that means. After 1000 miles or so, you start getting flats once in a while. They usually last over 3500 miles on good quality roads. Bad: Very sticky, that helps on corners but they are so sticky that will pickup small rocks from the road, no fun if your buddy in front have them on too :) Alternatives: Continental Ultra Gatorskin (for added puncture resistance) |

2009-08-12 | Continental Ultra Gator Skin by senisbs Good: I chose Ultra Gatorskin for widely advertised puncture resistance before my ultra long 1200km ride. After 1000+ miles over Sierra Nevadas, CA Central Valley, high desert I had no flats, tires have no cuts, front tire shows minimal wear. If properly rotated (front to back and so on), I expect them to last for 5K miles.
Durable, puncture resistant, good grip, soft ride on 25c Bad: I found riding quality especially cornering at high speeds were not as good as Continental GP 4000.
Expensive, paid $44 at REI. Alternatives: Continental Grand Prix 4000 |

2009-08-06 | SRAM Rival Front Derailleur by ErikW Good: Best bang-for-the-buck grouppo available, hands down. Front derailleur shifts smooth and fast. Easy to tune and stays in tune for long time before requiring minor tweaks. Proved its durability in multiple crashes during cyclocross season. The overall performance of the Rival grouppo made me a convert from years with Ultegra and Dura Ace. |

2009-08-05 | Ritchey Breakaway Cross by ErikW Good: Ritchey frame quality in a travel ready bike. Assembly/breakdown is simple and fast. Bike rides like a racer, angels make for a responsive feel on twisty courses. Steel construction is very forgiving (as is carbon fork). Bad: None, really. S&S couplers might be more confidence inspiring, but honestly the Ritchey Breakaway system is solid as can be. Ah, one weakness is the Ritchey travel bag for this thing. It is a poor design. Buy the S&S double-walled cardboard box with compression members... much better (and breaks down for easy storage in your garage or a Euro train station when not in use).

2009-08-04 | FSA Os-99 Stem by barubin Good: This is the lightest stem that FSA offers in its road series (even the all-carbon K-Force is heavier, b'JAM!!!). The 100mm weighs around 100g's. It's all aluminum with some titanium hardware and an aluminum faceplate. All-in-all, it's a stem and does just that; no bells, no whistles, no LED's or LCD's. Team Liquigas uses this stem on their Cannondales. THAT'S TEAM LIQUIGAS...their gas is liquid. Bad: Not that I'm one to really care, but this stem really isn't flashy at all (which may or may not be a complaint based on the rider). The color is black matte. Not even black shiny. Alternatives: There is an all-carbon OS-99 CSI (for the crime scene investigator in all of us) which is certainly nicer to Look at but 20-30 grams heavier and 30-40 dollars more expensive. |

2009-07-14 | Maxxis Hookworm Bmx Tire by kid1717 Good: Grips the pavement great and lasts when i say lasts i mean if u slid it 30 feet it wouldent even have a flat spot but its still soft enough for a good ride Bad: (Bad Features)none to speak of Alternatives: none does great |

2009-07-01 | Michelin Jet by thisoldman Good: quiet on pavement, durable tread ware, control and traction on gravel and mud. These are on my Bianchi Axis inflated to 6 atmosheres. I love these tires. |

2009-05-31 | Shimano Dura-Ace Rear Derailleur by barubin Good: It's a really nice derailleur. Mine works in conjunction with a 10 speed 105 cassette and an Ultegra front derailleur. I've had no problems so far. It's a great performance part and is simple in it's design. Alternatives: Ultegra SL, Ultegra, 105... are cheaper Shimano alternatives which probably work the same but are heavier. That's usually how it works. |

2009-05-20 | Look Keo Sprint Pedals by jbentley33 Good: This is my first pair of look pedals and as a beginner rider I really like the loud click when you clip in. It gives me a sense of security knowing that my shoe is actually clipped in. Bad: I haven't had any problems. Clipping in and out is easy.

2009-05-16 | Shimano M324 Clipless Pedals by Jordan300 Good: I have used these pedals for a rough 500 miles of trail riding, the have been bashed, smashed, knocked, and scraped.
The are sturdy and strong, even filled with mud i am able to clip in and out without and problems, the are weighted perfectly as not to always stay on one side, which is beneficial if your not always riding with the clips. Bad: I had a small difficulty putting toe clips on to these pedals for a single race that involved running with a partner as well and we had to switch off. But I got them on successfully and they still worked. Alternatives: I have not used any other clipless pedals that have platforms, but I have used other Shimano clipless and crank brothers. |
