Holds my 16' sea kayak very securely. Hardly ever use bow lines. Well padded Allos you to get more equipment on your roof.
Takes a little more effort to lift a large kayak into the cradle. It does not hold sit on tops well, despite what Yakima says. Foam pads have melted slightly in Florida sun.
Cradles kayak and takes up less rack space. Very secure hold. Nice padding.
Doesn't fold down easily (other Yakima products do). This kind of rack is more difficult to load for those with less upper body strength then the hully rollers etc.)
