The Mutano tire family introduces a fresh concept to mountain bike tires: Real World Multi-Terrain tires.
WTB designers brought this beautiful creature to life by splicing the fast rolling genes of the Nano Raptor, the open soil channeling characteristics of the Moto Raptor, and the surgical handling ability of the VelociRaptor. This created a unique tread with a fast "dotted" center tread, staggered and linked transition knobs, and a row of large, stable outside knobs.
The very quick and smooth roll combined with responsive and predictable cornering allow this tire to transform, or mutate, from XC racer to commuter, all with the use of simple brainwaves. Best suited to dry climates with loose dirt, rock, and sand when adventure riding, XC racing, or yes, endurance freeriding.
