| tube style belay devices don't twist ropes |
| doesn't work well with large calibre ropes, especially when wet.
i've tried this with a wet 11mm rope, and was not happy about how hard it was to lower a climber |

Cred: 483 | | cheap, works fine for craging on med-large ropes 9.5-10.5. Simple to use, no unneeded gizmos and gadgets, lasts a long time.
Excellent option if you dont need to be autoblocking a second, and use average sized cords.
