If you always seem to be setting up your sleeping pad in areas that isn't a bed of flat grass and want something you won't have to worry about if you start sliding around with? This pad is built solid. The weight is more then your average pad but really what else were you expecting. If you want a pad that you will not have to worry about for many trips to come look at the Toughskin. The pad is really warm; it lives up to its claimed R value of 5.2. The pad will keep you up off the ground if you some how end up putting a hole in it.
The pad's weight is heavier than pads of equal thickness but this is a given for me because of the strength.
