Good Features A fine light-weight compact sleeping pad. I have owned the short version for a couple years now, and brought it along at every opportunity. it's kept me comfortable on bare rock and warm on icy ground, and once or twice, when sleeping on a cliff edge it's kept me from rolling off the edge (I slid it inside my bivy so I couldn't roll over)
it's small, lightweight, and to date, hasn't let me down Bad Features Packing down to 11"x4" at first it was hard to find a place to stash it on my pack, though these days it seems to like spending it's days in a water bottle pocket.
it's no secret that warmer self inflating pads are out there, with an R-Value of 3.2 it's definitely not competing in that category. Recommended Alternatives REI Lite-Core 1.5 Self-Inflating Pad

Good Features An excellent pad for the light and fast crowd and for those that don't enjoy the air tube look/feel of a Big Agnes. Bad Features Too thin and not enough insulation leading to cold spots. I would only recommend for 15 degrees and up. Recommended Alternatives When it came out it was the sleeping pad to have; however now there are better options for your money. The Big Agnes Insulated Air Core is lighter, packs smaller, and is FAR warmer. | Login to add comments. Was this useful? Yes | No Cred: 123 | Review by fb_5800777

The Therm-A-Rest ProLite 4 is the lightest, most compressible four-season self-inflating mattress ever. This lightweight mattress is perfect for mountaineering, winter camping, backpacking and multi-day adventures. It is thick enough to use year round, making it a great choice for winter campers that don't want to carry a huge sleeping pad with them.
