This tent features exactly what you want from a tent that is designed for the mountain environment. The weight is low for the weatherproofness you get out of this tent. The poles are made from DAC Featherlite NSL aluminium which translates to strong and light weight for us users. When the winds really start blowing there are lots of guy out points which adds to the weatherproofness of this tent. The two vestibules and doors make this tent easy to get in and out of.
Now if there are two big guys sleeping in here just be prepared to not have tons of room to move around in. This is good on those really cold nights when you will most likely be using this tent and that it will be warm inside.
An alternative to this tent is the Marmot Thor 2p which also comes in a larger size as the Thor 3p
i've used this a few times now... pre winter and in some really nasty rain and snow (wish i wasnt out side kinda weather)
needless to say... plenty of room for a 4 season tent. to much space can lead to loss of body heat do to cold areas. the tent has 3 main vent areas and a chimney roof is the best one.
weight is little on the heavy side for only 2 person tent (9 lbs)
