First, it does decrease the amount of friction created between the unit and the tire, which leads to fewer tire changes over the long haul. But the major benefit, is the power output readings are more accurate with the Tacx tire, than the standard bike tire. I have read on the forums that the silver box causes problems, Is this still an issue?In the past the voltage change from Europe to US caused problems, but they have a firmware upgrade that has addressed this issue.
