Good Features
Smooth like butter, I don't have to think about it while I'm riding which is about as big a compliment I can give to anything on my bike. I can skip gear reliably and predictably, all around a good dérailleur.
Bad Features
Its easily twice as much as XT, which is a huge jump. I don't know if the added performance is worth it.

XTR® has been designed to give that expected Shimano reliability while adopting a new generation of shifting, drivetrain and braking systems. From the easy and flexible shifting performance of the Dual Control shift lever to the super-lightweight, linear response, & ultra-light disc brake design, XTR continues to be the benchmark of off-road cross-country component design.

The wide pivot link design boosts strength and rigidity. Flex is suppressed, creating sharp, precise shifts that are faster and smoother, even from low to high gears off of the saddle. Also, Shimano uses a Double Servo-Panta Mechanism which keeps the guide pulley close to each sprocket to allow for smooth and precise shifting you've come to expect with Shimano.
