The wide pivot link design boosts strength and rigidity. Flex is suppressed, creating sharp, precise shifts that are faster and smoother, even from low to high gears off of the saddle. Also, Shimano uses a Double Servo-Panta Mechanism which keeps the guide pulley close to each sprocket to allow for smooth and precise shifting you've come to expect with Shimano.
Shimano XTR M971 Rear Derailleur Long Cage features Top Normal return spring, Dual Control Lever compatibility, 11-tooth sealed bearing pulleys, Mega-9 gearing compatibility, and detachable rubber bumper.
