Nice fit - I have a very low volume foot and usually put superfeet green insoles in my hiking boots - in addition to the the supplied footbed. These boots were no exception. They took awhile to break-in, but now I like them at least as well, if not more than my Asolo GTX boots (I have 2 pair). I have about 50 miles on them. I cannot vouch for the waterproofing, as it has not rained in El Paso in over 100 days. These boots have never seen water. The first time I did a stream crossing in my Asolo GTX they leaked... I am hard on boots... I would purchase again...
Although I like the sticky soles (Vibram) which are grat for rock hopping through the arroyos in the desert, they are a bit soft and wear pretty fast. Your mileage may vary... I am hiking the desert mountains, sharp rock and brutal off trail conditions... No boot I have bought lasts more that 8 months without a resole.
I already mentioned the Asolo GTX. They are very good, comparable boots, and they both work well for narrow feet. I Think you can find the Asolo boots a bit cheaper...
