Good Features The Salomon Tornado is not a little brother to those big fat new planks that most people seem to be skiing these days. The tornado is the big brother to itself. This ski is designed to carve all over the mountain. It has a springy feel from turn to turn. You also have a power transfer that fantastic. The skis are built around a wood core which allows a natural flew pattern you can feel through the whole length of the turn (carve). When you are ripping turns in the steep this ski really starts to shine. It will just keep holding that edge as long as you want it to. Bad Features The problem I had was with the integrated binding, I can see why Salomon did this but I have to say I do like the opportunity to mount any binding I want on my skis. Recommended Alternatives You should check out the Fischer World Cup RC or the Rossignol Zenith Z9 for other high end comparable carving skis. |

- Salomon Z12 Ti Ski Bindings- With the introduction of the Z-concept, Salomon improves lateral rigidity, maintains optimum shock absorption, and decreases the overall weight of the system through the use of space-age carbon injected components.
