| Trustworthy, will lock up no matter how you fall, self-feeds on lead, no need for a chest harness, can rappel with it as well once you're done with a pitch |
| gear intensive (not specific to silent partner, but soloing in general), has to attain a certain speed before it locks (really only matters if using it to TR - you'll fall farther with this on TR than you will with some other soloing devices) |
| none have the same Quality features and trustworthiness as the silent partner, but some people use a soloist or grigri (but they won't lock if you have an inverted fall) |
