Heats amazingly fast with the heat exchanger, big capacity. I got this for a steal from SAC and am ok with the purchase, but glad I didn't pay full price. Would be best served for car camping with at least two folks.

Heat exchangers cause food to cool off quickly after cooking. It's got many parts and is a bit bulky and complicated for backpacking. Maybe for a big group (4 or more) you could maybe justify one person carrying this.

Well, for car camping there is no alternative needed, but for backpacking? Just about anything smaller. I've used MSR whisperlites with great long term success.

Awesome stove for car camping! Very easy to assemble, wind shield is nice.

Bulky, not for backpacking, but I've still used it for backpacking...:)

Awesome boil time, easy to use, easy to clean...well worth purchasing.

Probably not the best if you are backpacking, short on space or don't want to be weighed down.
