Has variable brightness, and "turbo" button for extreme brightness (forget the tech term used. Low is is plenty bright for most things. Diffuser/spotlight ability works great for various conditions/needs. Battery level indicator. Available kit to add colored lenses and third over the top strap as well as multi mount options. Tiltable
Cant use lithium batteries.

multiple brightness settings, flash mode, extra bright switch, tiltable, awesome easy to use diffuser/spot slider. battery indicator is great to have as well. batteries are also easy to switch out. still kickin' years later and can still hold it's own against similar newer headlamps. (pictured on the left)
no battery pack option
the newer tikka 2 xp

2 brightness levels and flash mode, boost button, comfortable head band, and colored filters
It doesn't tilt down far enough. After a certain point the plastic clicks stop and it points straight down. This makes it a little bit difficult for thins such as reading.
the Princeton Tec Remix is also a favorite of mine. The remix only has RED and white LED's where as the Tikka XP has the Option of red, blue, green, white, and a diffuser filter.

Bright, great battery life, durable. I read tons of reviews before I make a purchase and I agree with most others this is a great light.
Price is a bit high but your paying for a great light.
None for the versatility of this one and the price.

Black model made in France.
40 lumens output on Boost mode.
Not as bright as advertised. No current regulator.

This is a great light very bright and still has great life span on the batteries.
It's a little pricey most places, but this is a great price.
Looking for something a little lighter? I have the Tikka plus and it is a great light as well, not as bright, but the batteries do last a bit longer and it's not quite as heavy.

Great battery life, also has 3 levels of brightness to save battery life when reading maps.
The burst mode is REALLY bright when you need it!
My only grief is that it doesn't have a red diffuser like other headlamps...
