Much better than the Pro Traxion, which WILL fail if loaded improperly (checkout the Petzl safety notice for it).

The Mini Taxion is great for rope soloing, hauling light loads (up to about 100 lbs), awesome for setting up the "far end hauling system". The teeth are the same as the ascenders. It's pretty much a no brainer to setup and it simply works.

It's perfect for the intended applications mentioned above though.
You have to unclip and unload the biner to switch ropes, there is no lower clip in point, the pulley diameter is small and makes hauling large loads very difficult.

A very useful tool for wall climbers and top rope soloists. Some things I like:
- Quicker to set up than a prusik minding pulley.
- Feeds smoothly over rope
- good strength rating of 4kN in ascender/jamming mode
- works on basically any common diameter rope
I've been using it for top rope zipper/soloing for 4 years now. Works great.
Pulley is small and only about 70% efficient, meaning if you're hauling a 50 lb. bag, its going to feel more like 70 lb.

Snazzy little tool for hauling. Could also be used for self rescue while canyoneering or caving if needed.

works well, very efficient, easier to use than other wallhaulers
one more piece of hardware that isn't really crucial

Easy to use, functions well. I bought it for toprope soloing purposes.
I can't imagine those teeth being good to a rope.

This is a nice product, but for the money it is not rated well. The maz weight is under 200lbs.
