ICE SCREW.....HANGER....All in one. This was a great idea on part of Petzl. Now being able to remove the screw while still clipped in is fantastic especially if you happen to have a partner who for some reason seems like he’s spraying PAM on his gloves before every climb. The large hanger makes it easy to grasp the screw while placing. I found the screw to be balanced well between the teeth biting the ice when trying to get the screw started and with the speed of the screw going into the ice.
Well even though you can keep the screw connected when removing it is slower then unclipping it and screwing it out. So not the best advancement but still a good one.
