Cred: 12137 | | Review by Troy on Feb. 15, 2008 | | The croll is the go to ascender for any frog style ascending system. All you need is some webbing and you can make a make shift chest harness real quick. |
| Because of its position, it can be difficult to learn how to release it from a rope, so practice a couple times on the ground before going up. I've seen some people drill a small hole for accessory cord to be strung through the black plastic part, and that can help with articulating the release a bit. |
| There really aren't any well used alternatives. If you go for more of a rope walker system, you'll want to use a pully on your chest rig instead. |

Cred: 483 | | works great for frog style asending, weight is resonable. Simple no frills use.
also works well for TR soloing, simply girth a sling around top hole and throw that around your neck to keep it in a upright position. I use a steel quicklink to attach it to my harness. |
| needs a chest harness to slide up rope smoothly. This is hardly a downfall however, simply put a sling around your neck/shoulder and girth to the top hole of ascender.
Really I have no major complaints about the product. |

| The nob for opening the cam is a little hard to use with gloves on. |
| ABC Chest Ascender is better |
