Outdoor Research Mentor Jacket - Men's
5 out of 5 based on 2 user reviews.
Two inner pockets with holes for headphone wires
Three outer pockets (positioned high to be used pack)
[the third pocket is called a Napolean pocket gotta love that]
Fully adjustable hood that turns with your head (so you are not looking into your hood)
All zippers are sealed
Fits over all my layers and feels good alone
Pit zips can be opened from the bottom as well so pack waiststrap can go underneath the jacket for Outdoor Research coins "Agressive Cooling" [see the product details tab at: http://www.outdoorresearch.com/home/style/55100 ]
and did I mention lightweight
Just bought it at Paragon for $240 at %40 off as of 1/18/08 they had two more grey L and one blue XL. They do not have it advertised as this price online and I was shocked to see it in the store because it is a steal at that price!
Cinching drawstring on waist is not as easy to use as other jackets/brands
Arc'teryx has two advantages:
I like the colors better.
Has two drawcords one on the waist and one rib-high that can be cinched from within the pockets.
but it is more expensive.
I just found Spadout.com and love it! It is exactly what i have been looking for a third party site for reviews and prices on outdoor products. SO Write more reviews people and get free stickers so it can be useful!
[maybe I'll get more stickers for that shoutout.
Like this jacket very much! Super bomber!
I have no doubt that Arc'teryx makes something similar.
