Good Features
What is better then two, you guessed it that's three antennas. The addition of this extra antenna gives the user an ability to receive signals from the buried victim no matter what the oreintation. During your search pattern this relieves those black out spots that occur. This beacon is also a reasonable price it is not the cheapest on the market but for the features that it has it's quite good.

Bad Features
The multiple victim search on this beacon is a bit sporadic. Also with this beacon being only digital the precision is slightly less.

Recommended Alternatives
Many great beacons on the market you can check out the BCA Tracker DTS or the Pieps DSP.

From Backcountry:
Ortovox gave their D3 Avalanche Beacon a triple-antenna system to provide more accurate readings and faster search times. The D3 Avalanche Beacon's third antenna provides a full-strength signal no matter what orientation the victim's beacon is at, meaning no more giant blank spots in the signal when you're doing your grid. Plus, Ortovox gave this beacon a reasonable price, so you can embrace the latest technology without going broke in the process.
