Cred: 150 | | This stove is freakin awesome. Super fast boil time (havent tested at altitude yet, but its supposed to hold up very well). Excellent wind resistance. The MSR logo in the heating fabric is so badass! |
| A tad bulky, but totally worth it. No self start either, but who doesn't have a lighter or matches anyways? |

Cred: 2509 | | this stove is great. Self contained, powerful, and fast! Does what it says it does even at high altitude. Have used this as high as 13,000 feet and boil time doesn't appear to be effected. really efficient |
| it is rather large and a bit heavy. it is impossible to simmer so if you put anything besides soup or water in here, it WILL burn. But that's not what it's made for. |
| Jetboil, but i prefer this unless i'm solo. |

Cred: 9 | | Review by jared on Mar. 15, 2011 | | This stove works off of radiant heat and not convective so more of the energy goes to heating the water and less is diffused into the air by convection. It works in really high winds even. No need to use a screen to trap in heat... |
| had some trouble with it on Shasta at 9,800 ft. probably cause it was too cold. (-40 below zero wind chill)
Don't ask me why I was in that situation. |
