Easy to use, can purify gallons of water in single sittings. This thing is bombproof, its shock rated to take a 6 story fall. Its the only water treatment device that can kill cryptosporidium. Its carried by the marines for personal water treatment... its even been shown to be effective against some nerve agents in the water. All around good stuff. |
| This is very expensive as far as water treatment goes... in this case, you get what you pay for. If you double treat your water (which I commonly did using iodine), it can leave it kind of salty... better to just let it sit there a little longer then dump any more of the mixed oxidants in. |
| I've used Polar pure (and broken their bottles), aqua mira, bleech drops... the list goes on, this seems to be the best. |

Cred: 40569 | | Review by marks on Oct. 28, 2007 | | Simplicity at it's best (at least for the user). |
| It won't "filter" the water so if the water is nasty it won't be very appealing (even though it may be safe). |
| If you aren't going to have ask to clean, running river water I would stay with a hand pump. |
