MSR Denali Ascent | MSR Denali Ascent 5 out of 5 based on 7 user reviews.
Cred: 262 | | I have put over 100 miles on these snow shoes and they show little wear. They provided traction, flotation, and peace of mind while climbing in 100+mph winds on Mt Washington and performed just as well winter trail running in Connecticut. The points are all easily sharpened; however under normal use you will find it isn't that neccessary. Flotation tails are a must if you are in deep snow or are heavier than 150lbs. |

Cred: 476 | | Extremely good traction. The ascent bar is very useful and saves your calves. |
| In extreme winds they catch and kick out. Better to use crampons. |
| Crampons if used in extreme(rocky, vertical) terrain. |

Cred: 1376 | | Review by clover on Jul. 21, 2008 | | I actually have Denali EVO Ascents, very lightweight, easy to put on and take off, adaptable to varying terrains when you don't know what you're getting in to using the optional tails |

Cred: 20 | | Exceptional traction on hard, crusty snow. Probablly the best traction available on any snowshoes. |
| This particular model is great. The newer binding system on the updated model stinks. I have had a clevis pin break, but always carry extra, just in case. MSR has the best customer service around. |
| MSR is the only way to go. |
