The out dry is noticeable better then the old conduit combo windproof and mostly waterproof (only steel doors on submarines are water proof). The palm is synthetic which boost water resistance.
They were working great for my daily commute. But after my first over night Mountain climb both writs blew out and they were constantly turning inside out when removing. REI took them back after three months and no receipt!
Synthetic palm is less dexterous than the ol' goat leather.
