| Mountain Hardwear Alchemy Jacket 4 out of 5 based on 7 user reviews.
Cred: 4460 | | fits great with athletic cut. Arms stay put when reaching high. Good and bad; outside of sleeves and on sides of jacket are more breathable non-water resistant fabric. Which mean that the absorb when climbing wet ice or riding in the rain. |
| Too hot for me, would be great if it had pit zips. |

Cred: 188 | | The athletic cut made it perfect for use with a harness yet still allowed me to fit a mid weight fleece underneath it. The jacket was extremely flexible, shed water and was entirely windproof. |
| There was no way to vary the level of warmth it provided. Pit zips would have been a great addition. |

Cred: 173 | | good water resistance, windproof, stylish and comfortable, just enough stretch to the fabric even with being a heavier weight softshell, warm |
| little on the small/short side, too warm for high-aerobic type activities, no pit zips |

Cred: 17 | | Versatile. Well made. Durable. I really like the performance of this jacket. It is perfect for active pursuits in cold dry weather. |
| I mistakenly washed the jacket with the zipper unzipped and it ended up causing a ripple effect in the material through the zipper area. This is common with most jackets so make sure you always zip it up to wash it.
I quickly grew tired of the extreme style of the jacket. My next soft shell will be a little less technical looking, with more subtle colors. |
