Keeps your bag and clothing a little less dirty than loose chalk.
Does not release/distribute as much as if there was just loose chalk in your bag.

I'm pretty sure that I popped mine after I got dropped while belay testing someone (I heard a popping noise right as i landed and it was not my spine)
I would recommend this, but also having some loose chalk in the bag as well. This allows for an even, along with a somewhat heavier distribution.

Well, I like chalk balls better than loose chalk. If you jump or fall bouldering it doesn't make chalk fly all over the place. Which really sucks in the Gym. Its pretty fine, a little chunky sometimes. Great price.
I always forget to take the little bags out of my chalk bag so i end up with a collection of empty chalk balls. But I guess thats a personal problem.

Chalk doesn't fly all over when you fall off a boulder problem
have to make sure you're buying the refillable

Really great stuff. Much better than your average gymnastics chalk.
I can get gymnastic chalk for free, so it's hard to justify buying chalk.
