The molded rubber around the lower part of the snow make it impervious to road salt.
The boot is comfortable enough to walk to work in the snow, but rigid enough that you won't even notice the bindings on your snowshoes.
The lug sole provides amazing traction on snow and ice.
The Thinsulate keeps your foot evenly warm, no cold spots. But at the same time, my feet don't over heat and seem to breath well.
