| Very good overall hiker. It cinches snuggly to the foot, but has enough ventilation to make hiking in the desert comfortable. The arch and other support are great - all kinds of terrain are manageable at anything from a brisk hike to a quick sprint. I have had mine for several years, and hiked in conditions from scrambling on slickrock to wading through sand dunes, and these shoes always perform well. |
| These shoes are well-ventilated...which isn't such a good thing when you step in a puddle or slip into a stream! They don't dry quickly at all, but the liner comes out for drying and cleaning purposes. Also with the ventilation comes the tendency to get sand and such into the shoe, and sometimes into your sock. :( |
