Totally sweet tire. This tire is one of the fastest rolling race tires out there. Strong on the climbs, fast on the downs. Kevlar beads (Larsen TT exception) make it awesome. Strong sidewalls for tubeless pressures help you to run lower pressures for better traction. This tire is a great cross country racing tire- for hard pack. I was proud to run a 1.95 and was not displeased.

Only problem with this tire is the knobs aren't beg enough for wetter, muddier courses. It does shed mud, but on the wetter courses, you will slip around because of the low rolling resistance of this tire.

For a more stable tire, but still heavier, is the Maaxis Ignitor. The Exception series is the Kevlar bead, but does a great job on the climbs and downhills, as well. The tire composition itself is fast and wears like iron. Maxxis tires are some of the very best out there, and when it comes to strength and reliability, they are a great buy.
