| I got Mavic Helium Jersey. up front, the material looks tantilising. It's clearly designed for humid places where the temp goes over the 30s (which was my plan). in fact, its close to see thru so is very sexy (cool) but thats where the good points end. |
| Lets start the price. at a whacking sterling 70 (luckily I got mine for offer under 50) yet still, I didnt consider it a happy purchase. because there are 2 different materials involved, criss crossing black and white here and there, so the result: is a lot of stitching (i mean: alot: too much). what this means ultimately is: great discomfort. really uncomfortable, especially at the lower back, where 3 different panels of material is sewn together...this really got to me. first, the stitching, a set of it, runs parrallel directly down your back and worse, stands erect so more or less, prongs against your skin (not something that should happen for such an expensive jersey---my Giordana at half the price is brilliant, comfortable and good lookin---as a matter a fact, why dont i just say Giordana is king, for price and comfort and looks. If you dont mind discomfort, choose Mavic Helium Jersey. for me, I feel its a waste of time and money. |
| Now the geeky part: this Mavic jersey is made in tunisia. All Giordana jerseys are designed and made 100% in Italy. the jewel in the crown. I here rest my case. in casting out my Line to try something new, I advertently discoverd it was a worthless and wasteful exercise. Giordana is KING |
