Good Features
The Precip is a light weight storm system which has application in many conditions especially when weight is more of a concern then extended use. The pants have good articulation and are long enough to cover the boot cuff but are not being steeped on when I walk. The Waist band is comfortable when you are layering over a pair of shorts or pants.
Bad Features
I don't know how long this material will hold out it does not feel sturdy enough for extended use.
Recommended Alternatives
If you want a pair of pants that will stand up to much more look for something made of Gortex XCR.
