| Mammut Promo Rope 3.7 out of 5 based on 7 user reviews.
Cred: 468 | | So easy to tie knots in! Clips pretty easily, belays pretty smoothly, and is a great width and length. Super excellent starter rope. The rope bag it comes with is SWEET, the tarp is a nice size and you could definitely fit a 70m rope in it. |
| The sheath got nicks in it pretty fast, nothing super compromising, just annoying. With a 10mm rope I was hoping for something more durable for toproping. It also pigtails like CRAZY, even after rappelling on it many times (which usually solves that problem). |
| For a first rope buyer or a weekend warrior, you honestly can't beat this. More serious? Go with anything made by Sterling. |

 Cred: 555 | | Great first rope. Cheep & mammut quality. |
| It's not actually 10m, more like 10.5. I didn't realize this until I used my friends 10.2 and felt how much skinnier it was.
The rope bag's not great, but you get what you pay for. |

Cred: 1096 | | Cheap price, good for a first rope, and weekend climbing. |
| -Heavy
-wears fast, this rope lasted me three weeks until the core was showing
-pig tails something fierce.
-collects dirt worse that other ropes I have tried. |
| If you are beginning or teaching and doing a lot top roping I recommend the Edelweiss Sharp. Its more pricey than the promo. but its a perfect balance of supple and stiff and I get two years out of intensive top roping from teaching basic climbing courses. |
