Rated at 30 degrees, this is a very light sleeping bag. Design is good, not to narrow nor too large. Hood works well as does the zipper. Shell seems to resist water quite well. Stuffs very small. Price is remarkable for such a well made bag. I have used mine for a few years, perhaps 30 nights out, and found it adequate to near freezing when wearing a base layer and inside a tent.
Advertising can be misleading. The 800 refers to the weight (800 grams) not the down. it is actually 90% 650 fill power down and 10% other (feathers). I think the 30 degree rating is pushing it a bit. Perhaps 32 deg. at best. I consider this a summer bag.
I can not Think of an alternative for anywhere near the price. If I were to replace this because I wanted something that might be considered three season I would consider the REI Kilo sleeping bag.
