Awesome ice climbing boot. This boot has great feel while working vertical ice and keeps my feet toasty warm in all but the absolute coldest temps. Boot is stiff enough to support you and keep a sturdy platform when you are front pointing up the ice. Equally at home on vertical and less than vertical ice. Unlike some boots, this boot can still be hiked in without feeling like you are wearing planks on your feet.
Not so much a bad feature but you will likely have to treat or retreat the boot to keep the water proofing. But not uncommon for a leather/synthetic boot.
I guess you could Look at the La Sportiva Nepals but pricewise you will pay considerably more.
I've seen a lot of folks using these happily, but I know one guy who cracked the toe box his first time out on these and since then its been downhill with tears, and cracks all over. Maybe a bad pair or maybe a bad design.
