Cred: 1916 | | A friend owns this tent, and as I am a hammock guy, we usually share it on group trips. I'm impressed. It's literally light enought to lift with your pinky finger. I tried. Also, they call it a "3-season" but those terms are relative. Used in during a Northeast PA December thunderstorm and stayed dry all night. Didn't help for warmth though. A drunken nutless monkey could pitch this tent in a hurricane it's so easy. |
| I'm curious about the durability, I'm usually a lot harder on gear than my friend is, and I'd bet I'd kill it way faster than he is. |
|
Cred: 11 | | The Kelty Grand Mesa 2 is a flagship for 3 Season tents- spacious design, high sides, and plenty of breathability even with the rain fly on.
I stayed dry, ventilated, and happy during an intense storm in the back country of Mammoth Cave NP and wouldn't hesitate to take it further. |
| The mosquito netting only works if it's not penetrated by field mice. I'd recommend a small mallet or glue traps as accessories if you plan on camping anywhere in the South. |
| Considering comfort, permeability, and price, this tent is the one to buy. |

Cred: 285 | | Cheap, good matrials, plenty of room for the most part. Can't go wrong with this tent. I got it for $100 on sale. |
| Great tent but small for 2 people unless you put gear in the vary small vestubule area. Little heavier than some other tensts of the same size. |
| Anything north face is worth it but this tent is great. |
|
Cred: 198 | | The tent is cheap (its main draw), and easy to set up. Setup is quick and since it has 2 poles, it is not rocket science. |
| I would like to have more than 1 door and vestibule, to store gear in the rain. |
| For more money, I would purchase an MSR tent. Other (better) choice is a hammock, which I have replaced this tent with. |

Cred: 550 | | Good basic lightweight tent. Not the biggest (or heaviest), but a great value. Easy to setup & take down. |
| Not well ventilated. Not the lightest. Not the smallest. |
|
Cred: 20 | | Super easy to put up. Great product for price. Relatively light weight. |
| As with most back packing tents, the 2 person fits only 2 people, and no gear. If you want to put your back pack inside the tent, size up. |
| I have yet to find anything this cheap that works as well. |
|
 Cred: 27 | | Tent fly doesn't ventilate well. |
