Cred: 722 | | Roomy & perfect for a group leader who needs to carry a substantial med kit. Durable and versatile (I am an average-framed woman who uses this pack with great comfort). A great weekender pack, it holds my bulky synth sleeping bag quite well. Key clip inside interior brain stash pocket as well. Fleece-lined glasses pocket is a nice touch. |
| Roomyness encourages bad pack-rat tendencies. Side water bottle pockets are challenging to reach when solo. |

Cred: 668 | | Same Basic pack as the Red Cloud but much better for a weekend trip. big enough for snowshoe over nighter - easy to get to gear..pleanty of pockets - nice size top pocket |
| could be lighter but a great pack for the price |

Cred: 225 | | Very easy to adjust. The many pockets are extremely conveinient. Over all wonderful pack. |
| Sometimes hard to access interior contents. |
| Low alpine packs are wonderful, but you will pay dearly for the pack. |

Cred: 188 | | Very Durable (have owned for 9 years), Lots of great straps and pockets, great basic pack for long trips. Lots of space and good cushioning. Top can turn into a day fanny pack, but i rarely use. |
| Only 1 ice axe holder, not a ton of new technical features that you see in newer packs. |
| Backpacking, mountaineering |

 Cred: 9 | | Excellent all-around.
Price.
Comfortable and easily balanced.
Main compartment is easily accessible by unzipping the back panel.
Overall a durable, versatile, well-designed pack. |
| Minor issue:
Would prefer that side pockets be more secure. They zip up and then the flap secures down with velcro. Once in a while, especially in thick foliage and if the side pockets are very full, the pocket flap will get pulled up and the zipper can come down. Button-down flaps would be better. |

| I would have liked a sleeping bag pocket, and bottom straps for a sleeping pad but in the grand scheme of things, those are really just unnecessary luxuries. |
| For the same/similar price? Nothing. |
|

stands up well to abuse
good value for size |
| A bit difficult to pack
needs more loops and pockets |
|
Cred: 25 | | Lots of pockets, sleeves...zippers and velcro.
