Cred: 17 | | Best footwear I have ever worn. Period. They fit snugly from ankle to toe with and even keeps your heel in place thanks to a tapered fit to the soles. I walked through a marsh in muddy water that came over the top of the boots with no gaters on, and my socks stayed dry. The lacing flows all the way to the toe cap, so you have added ability to lace the boot to fit your foot. Also, it looks really cool in a pair of nylon pants. Come on, be honest. That matters. It is not the most important thing, but taking care of the function handedly, style helps. You never know who you are going to meet on the trail. |
| They are a little stiff until you break them in. I, stupidly, only did a few miles in them prior to a big trip, and I paid for it after mile five on day one, cutting down my desired mileage so I could tend to my hotspots. However, after that, they were fine (They got wet in the above mentioned marshy area, so they broke in faster after that). That is my only complaint. |
