The social chair of the T:Nine house, True Luv is the kind of girl who can turn any condition into a party. A friend to all ability levels, True Luv is known to bridge the gaps between those with less experience and the more advanced skiers on the mountain. A BioFlex core helps her initiate turns with a consistent flex and her Marker IBC system binding finishes off the intermediate package.
FEATURES:
- Torsion box construction
- MOD technology
- BioFlex fir/spruce core
- IBC 10.0 binding
BIOFLEX CORE -
This core is the combination of two distinctly different woods, fir and spruce, and provides two desired traits in a women`s ski: stability and forgiveness. Spruce, a light soft wood, is used in the extremities of the tip and tail. Fir, a more solid, denser wood, is used under foot. The spruce provides the easy turn initiation, lightweight characteristics, and overall ease that T9 skis have come to be known for. The fir underfoot provides an all-new level of confidence inspiring control, predictability, and stability.
MOD TECHNOLOGY -
MOD is an integrated, high performance suspension system and mass damper. It absorbs vibrations and impact loads in all types of snow conditions, providing stronger edge hold and higher degree of power and control. What`s unique about Mod is that the mass is applied as secondary core, independent from the primary wood core. With this fine tuned amount of mass added separately, both cores can flex or move on top of one another. This allows flex to be unaffected, retaining ease, versatility, and liveliness, while greatly reducing vibrations and chatter.
TORSION BOX CONSTRUCTION -
The Torsion Box construction is the foundation for the widest range of skis designed by K2. Built with a Triaxially Braided wood core, this construction is relatively simple when compared to a Metal Laminate ski. Because of the versatility in this construction, Torsion Box constructions can be used to build everything from learning to expert skis. While there will be significant differences between a Seth Pistol and a True Luv, they do share the common traits of ease, forgiveness, responsiveness, and energy that can be found in all Torsion Box skis.
K2 WOMEN`S T:NINE SERIES -
Three years ago, K2 took the male-dominated ski industry by storm with the release of the T:Nine series of women`s skis. K2 authorized the Alliance Team, a representative group of women developers, to research, test, shape, and develop a line of women-specific skis. The 2005 T:Nine series includes six skis with revolutionary tip shapes, dampening systems, graphics, and the BioFlex core. Women skiers everywhere will be able to take advantage of the extraordinary benefits provided by these ski products specifically designed for women. On location at the secret testing grounds of Cascade Range and Palmer snowfields of Mount Hood, the Alliance Team has worked around the clock and even through the Pacific Northwest summers to create the finest, most physically appropriate line of women`s skis on the market.
K2/MARKER IBC BINDING SYSTEM -
A graphically integrated, free-flexing binding system, IBC offers many benefits. With floating toes and heels, IBC helps to eliminate the flat spot underfoot, providing the skier with smoother overall transitions and excellent power transfer from edge to edge.
