| The igniter failed after the first use. It's a good thing I bought the maintenance kit, which comes with a sturdier igniter than the original. |
| For what I do - there is no alternative. The MSR Reactor is similar to this stove; it boils more water (good for larger groups), but I don't Think it has the coffee press accessory. |

The knobb is very touchy. I turned it up way to high and hit the light button and WHOOOM a HUGE flame came out of the sides of the cup. SO BE CAREFUL... |

Cred: 820 | | I have the original PCS (black) and love it. Has been through many uses. Boils water fast! Within the 8 years or so that I have owned this stove, and hundreds of uses, I had to change the igniter once (cheap, easy to install replacement). It's all in one. |

| Says its not good to cook in the cup, but i assume the pot you can get with it or instead of would work for that? I dont need this capability though anyways. Maybe a larger cup? |
| MSR's variation, twice as much capacity, but twice the cost. Probably better for families, or larger groups, though my Jetboil is generally used by me and up to 3-4 others, and its all weve needed. |

| Throw away canisters. I still have trouble with this no refill policy and throwing them away. I also keep rebuild kits in both stoves. They are a pain when they go awry. ( I learned this from other stoves) |

| Efficiency goes downhill as the temperatures drop. In cold weather the canister must be warmed (inside your jacket or sleeping bag) for a few minutes before the stove will light. |
