This kit is needed if you plan on using your stove. The igniter that comes w/ the stove failed me after the first light. The kit comes with a more sturdy igniter which has yet to fail me.
Awesome!! For $5 you can fix any part of your jetboil that could stop working! Check to see if your burner was recalled before purchasing this though. You may be able to get a free one!
