Hutchinson TR (tubeless-ready) tires mate a UST bead with the lightweight casing of a traditional tire. Sealant must be added for a complete seal on a UST rim. The result of this technology is that the tire can be as much as 200 grams lighter than traditional tubeless tires.

claimed 500 grams (26 x 2.0 size)
Hutchinson suggests the use of their Fast-Air latex sealants (other sealants void warranty)

After 10 years of success, Hutchinson's famous Python has been redesigned for even bigger volume & better comfort. The Hutchinson Python Air Light Tubeless Ready 29-Inch Kevlar Tire features central part with low & linked knobs for low rolling resistance, intermediate knobs for progressivity in cornering, and dobbled side knobs 1.5mm higher for better grip. The synthetic rubber compound (SBR) increases mileage & performance.

The Tubeless Ready technology offers advantages over a Tubeless tire, but none more than in the way of light weight, with an average of 160 grams less than a Tubeless. However, it is compulsory to inflate the tire with a FAST'AIR bomb, the latex inside providing the air tightness.

The Air Light process is all about making Hutchinson tires as light as they can by optimizing all the components of the tire. By maximizing the design and performance of the tread, casing and the profile Air Light increases the output (+20%) and acceleration while making handling far more secure by reducing the gyroscopic effect.
