The X Monster was also the first tool to use the forged X Monster pick, which Grivel is making the standard pick for all of its new tools. The X Monster will also go fully leashless, though it a slot for a clip on/off leash. As the cheapest tool on the market on the X Monster is definitely a good deal for the price. |
| The stamped shaft has yet to catch on in the ice climbing, and none of Grivel's new tools feature it. The X Monster though smaller than the Monster pick,is still bigger than many of the alternative brand's picks on the market. Also the stamped shaft does not make for the most comfortable for matching. |
