The Grivel 360º Ice Screw uses its unique folding wire handle design to allow fast placement in pockets and corners where other screws can't go. Give the 360º Ice Screw a few twists to get it started, then flip out the handle and crank it home with ease. Its large handle requires less energy to crank in than little handles, so you save your strength for swinging tools. The Grivel 360º Ice Screw also has a low-profile square hanger that fits into small constrictions, reducing the need to clear ice before placing.

The 360 Ice Screw by Grivel can benefit all ice climbers. In situations where safety depends on speedy screw placement (crevasse rescue or steep ice) the 360's sharp bite and easy starting are quite reassuring. When obstructions of rock or ice prevent a normal fixed hanger's rotation, the 360's handle may be lifted away from the surface and turned freely. The 360's super-slick finish makes it very difficult for ice to clog its core. Once placed, the short hanger reduces leverage during an outward pull (only encountered on overhanging terrain). The reverse thread increases resistance to an outward pull.
