Cred: 3262 | | For a pack that weighs 2 lbs, you can't beat this one! It holds up to 40 lbs comfortably (beefy padding and suspension), durable (mine has over 3000 miles on it), nice layout (I love the little zippered pocket at the top for the things I need quick access to), lots of room (easily carries a bear canister), just enough features. The back padding is so thick, you can use it like an extension to your 3/4 length sleeping pad. |
| Still on the heavy side for me, but I am a gram weenie. I use this for alpine climbs now.
Open-cell foam padding on the back can tend to harbor bacteria on long distance trips. |
