durable, handy, fast, and fairly light. i carry one of these at all times; even in school! a few months back i was out on a solo ice climbing adventure and i managed to smash my hand into some rock on a dry pitch. when i repelled down, i was able to open the tool with one hand to pull rock fragments form the other. VERY highly recommended item! i even keep mine with me in the shower!
